Resident. Widely distributed but local over much of the British Isles.
Recorded from a single site in the west of the county at Commins Coch.
Wingspan : M & F, 23-27mm.
time & Voltinity
Wherever foodplant is found.
Yarrow and possibly tansy.
Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva spins the central shoots together and feeds within. Later it bores into the stem and feeds there. Pupates on the underside of a leaf.
