Resident. Widespread but local in the southern half of Britain.
Recorded from a few sites in the northern half of the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 22-27mm.
Homoeosoma nebulella. Extra care regarding id should be taken with worn examples.
time & Voltinity
On light soils.
Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva feed in the seed-heads hollowing out a large cavity. Pupates in a dull brown cocoon on the ground.
