Resident. Common to abundant throughout the British Isles.
A common species throughout the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 23-26mm.
time & Voltinity
Mainly associated with blackthorn thickets and hedges.
Various herbaceous plants.
Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Overwinters in a spinning on edge of a leaf. Larva lives under leaves which it spins together. Pupates in a silken cocoon amongst leaves of foodplant.
