Resident. Widespread and very common or abundant throughout Britain as far north as southern Scotland, less common and more local further north.
Very common throughout the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 33-35mm.

Wherever foodplant is found.
Common nettle, white horehound, woundwort and mint spp.
Spinning/leaf roller. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva forms a rolled leaf or a spinning, feeding within. Pupates in a transparent cocoon sometimes in numbers, under bark or in a stem.
