Resident. Widely distributed throughout the British Isles but not as common as P. purpuralis.
Recorded in a handful of sites in the northern half of the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 15-21mm.

Open country, preferring grassland or chalk.
Thought to feed on corn mint and thyme spp.
Lifestage data for this species has yet to be documented.
