UK Status Resident. Locally common in southern Britain as far north as the Midlands and Scotland. Montgomeryshire Status Recorded from a few sites in the west of the county. Wingspan : M & F, 24-29mm. Confusion species None. |
Flight time & Voltinity
(Univoltine)  Habitat Damp woodland and marshy places. Foodplant Winter cress. Lifestage data Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva feeds gregariously on the leaves, resting side by side when not feeding. Pupates in a cocoon below the soil. |
