Resident. Widespread but local throughout the British Isles as far north as southern Scotland.
Found at three scattered sites across the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 17-18mm.

A woodland species.
Mosses and lichen.
Moss feeder. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva lives in the mosses and lichen on the trunks of trees and feeds within. Pupal site undocumented.
