UK Status Resident. Widespread but local throughout the British Isles. Montgomeryshire Status Found at two sites in the western side of the county at Commins Coch and Foel. Wingspan : M & F, 16-18mm. Confusion species E. truncicolella. |

(Bivoltine)  Habitat Moors and mountains. Foodplant Mosses. Lifestage data Moss feeder. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva found on rock and old walls feeding amongst the moss. Pupates in a crevice under the moss. |
