Flight time & Voltinity
(Univoltine)  Habitat Margins, rides, glades of woods and hedgerows. Foodplant Oak and sweet chestnut. Lifestage data Nut feeder. Eggs laid on upperside of leaves. Larva lives in the nut, eating out the kernel. Pupates in a tough brown silken cocoon in rotten wood, under moss or in litter or soil. |
