Resident. Widespread and fairly common over most of Britain.
Recorded twice from a single site in the west of the county (Commins Coch).
Wingspan : M & F, 13-16mm.

Wherever foodplant is found.
Seed feeder. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva lives in the seeds and feeds within. Pupates in a cocoon under a flake of bark or in a crevice.
