Resident. A local species found in the southern half of Britain, very local in Wales.

Montgomeryshire Status

Discovered in the north of the county at Coed Pendugwm Nature Reserve in 2014. This is only the second record in north Wales.

Wingspan :   M & F 10-12mm.

Confusion species

Pammene germmana.
Flight time & Voltinity (Univoltine +)

Habitat

Woodland, particularly on calcareous soils.

Foodplant

Beech.

Lifestage data

Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva lives between spun leaves, blotching them from within. Pupates in larval habitation.
