Habitat

Woodland and grassy places.

Foodplant

St. John's-wort.

Lifestage data

Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva spins terminal leaves and shoots tightly together and feeds within, it also occasionally feeds on flowers and seed capsules. Pupates in a whitish silken cocoon in the soil.
