Montgomeryshire Status

First recorded in 2015 at Hafren Forest in the south of the county.

Wingspan :   M & F 12-17mm.

Confusion species

Spilonota ocellana.
Flight time & Voltinity (Univoltine)

Habitat

Larch plantations.

Foodplant

Larch and sitka spruce.

Lifestage data

Leaf miner. Eggs lain on foodplant. Larva first mines leaves, later creates a spinning. Pupates in larval habitation.
