Resident. Widespread and common throughout the British Isles as far north as Midlothian.
Recorded at a few sites in the northern half of the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 16-22mm.
E. rosaecolana and E. trimaculana.
time & Voltinity
Open woodland and hedgerows.
Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva spins the leaves of young shoots tightly together and feeds within, it also occasionally feeds on flower buds. Pupates in larval habitation.
