Resident. Widespread but local throughout the British Isles as far north as Sutherland.
Infrequently recorded from scattered locations.
Wingspan : M & F, 12-18mm.
|Flight time & Voltinity
Damp woodland, bogs and fens.
Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva spins a leaf into a pod and feeds within. Pupates in a cocoon spun up in a leaf or amongst the leaf litter.
