Resident. Locally common throughout the British Isles.
One old record from the south-west corner of the county at Staylittle in 1975.
Wingspan : M & F, 11-16mm.
time & Voltinity
Grassland, damp woods and boggy places.
Betony, teasel, hemp-nettles, lousewort's, yellow rattle and ribwort plantain.
Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva forms silken gallery and feeds on seeds within. Pupal site undocumented.
