Resident. Widespread and common throughout England and Wales and the lowland areas of Scotland, more scarce in other areas of Scotland.
Fairly well distributed across the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 13-19mm.
time & Voltinity
Scrubby downland and hedgerows.
Various trees and shrubs.
Spinning. Eggs laid on branches or bark. Larva first feeds on the buds and later spins leaves and flowerheads together and feeds within. Pupates between spun leaves or in larval habitation.
