Resident. Widespread and fairly common throughout the British Isles as far north as Argyll.

Montgomeryshire Status

Recorded from scattered sites throughout the county, occasionally in fairly large numbers.

Wingspan :   M & F, 14-19mm.

Habitat

Mainly woodland.

Foodplant

Mainly oak.

Lifestage data

Leaf roller. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva lives in a rolled or folded leaf. Pupates in a dull white cocoon near larval habitation.
