Resident. Widespread and locally common in England and north Wales, less common in Scotland.
Recorded from a few sites in the southern half of the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 18-22mm.
time & Voltinity
Various herbaceous plants.
Leaf miner/spinning. Eggs laid on a leaf. Larva first mines a leaf then feeds externally from within a spinning. Pupates in larval habitation or spun up in a leaf or flower.
