Resident. Widespread but local throughout the British Isles as far north as south-west Scotland.

Foodplant
Knapweed spp. and yarrow seeds.
Lifestage data
Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva lives and feeds within the flowerhead or
seedhead. Pupates in a silken cocoon spun in debris on the ground. |
