Habitat

Open woodland, waste ground and gardens.

Foodplant

Willowherb spp.

Lifestage data

Leaf miner. Eggs laid on the foodplant. Larva makes a large blotch mine often covering the whole leaf. Pupates in an ochreous cocoon in the mine or soil.
