Foodplant

Rosebay willowherb.

Lifestage data

Leaf miner. Eggs laid on the foodplant. Larva first mines a narrow gallery, red in colour often following the midrib which broadens into a blotch. Pupates in a greyish-white cocoon amongst detritus on the ground.
