far north as Inverness-shire.

Recorded from two sites in the north-east of the county.

Common knapweed or Saw-wort.
Lifestage data
Seed miner. Eggs laid on the foodplant. Larva burrows amongst seeds and
below the seeds and feeds within. Pupates in a light-brown silken
cocoon at the base of the seed capsule. |
