Resident. A common species found throughout much of England and Wales.

Montgomeryshire Status

Discovered in the east of the county at Middletown in 2012. This is only the sixth record for north Wales.

Wingspan :   M & F 9-11mm.

Wherever the foodplant is found.

Foodplant

Lecanora conizaeoidesa lichen.

Lifestage data

Tube feeder. Eggs laid on, or close to foodplant. Larva initially burrows into lichen and constructs a tube covered with frass, it then feeds from this tube. Pupates in larval habitation.
