UK Status Resident. Widespread, but local. Montgomeryshire Status Resident. First recorded in 2024 at Cemmaes, in the far west of the county. Wingspan : M & F 8-9mm Confusion species Care should be taken, as this species is very similar some other related species. |

(Univoltine)  Habitat Wet bogs and acid heaths. Foodplant Sedge Sp. Lifestage data Leaf miner. Eggs laid on leaf. Larva mines towards the leaf tip, then back the other way. Pupates along mid-rib. |
