Montgomeryshire Status

First recorded at Llanfyllin in the north of the county in 2022.

Wingspan :   M & F 10-11mm.

Confusion species

The yellowish head colour is fairly diagnostic in fresh specimens, care should be taken on worn moths.

Wherever the foodplant is found.

Cock's foot.

Lifestage data

Leaf miner. Eggs laid on tip of leaf. Larva forms long narrow whit gally lines. Pupates in debris.
