Leaf mines first found at Llanymynech Rocks in the north-east of the county in 2019.

Wingspan :   M & F, 8-9mm.

Confusion species

Care should be taken, as this species is very similar some other related species.

Calcareous deciduous woodland.


Wild basil.

Lifestage data

Leaf miner. Eggs laid by midrib of leaf. Larva first forms a narrow mine & later a large blotch. Pupates: in leaf or ground.
