Wingspan : M & F, 11-12.5mm.
It is often impossible to separate the adults of some species. In some cases differences can be seen in various life stages.

Common or greater bird's-foot trefoil.
Case-bearing/leaf miner. Eggs laid under leaf. Larva mines gallery ending in a blotch from which it forms a case, the case is enlarged as the larva grows. Pupates within case, attached to foodplant.
