Resident. A local but widespread species found throughout Britain.
Montgomeryshire Status
First recorded in 2010 at Llanfyllin in the north of the county. This was only the 9th record for north Wales.

Open woodland, hedgerows, coastal cliffs.

Mainly greater stitchwort & sea campion.
Lifestage data
Leaf miner/case-bearing. Eggs laid on leaf. Larva forms blotch mine,
then case from which it feeds. Pupates in the case
attached low to stem of foodplant. |
