UK Status Resident. Widespread and fairly common throughout the British Isles. Montgomeryshire Status Recorded from three scattered sites in the east of the county. Wingspan : M & F, 12-13mm. Confusion species None. |
Flight time & Voltinity
(Bivoltine+)  Habitat Wherever the foodplant is found. Foodplant Hogweed, wild angelica, wild parsnip, cow parsley and wild carrot. Lifestage data Leaf miner/web forming. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva first mines leaves, later feeding gregariously in a web. Pupates in a light brown cocoon in a leaf or on the ground. |
