Confusion species

Y. sylvella and some forms of Y. parenthesella.

Habitat

Mainly where oak is found.

Foodplant

Oak.

Lifestage data

Spinning. Eggs laid on a twig of the foodplant. Larva feeds from a slight spinning. Pupates in a pale brown cocoon under a leaf, in a crevice or against the bark.
