Resident. Widespread and common throughout the British Isles, but more local in the south.
Three very old records from Welshpool in the east of the county, the last in 1967
Wingspan : M & F, 10-13mm.

Rowan and hawthorn.
Shoot miner. Eggs laid on the foodplant. Larva feed inside the shoots which droop giving their presence away. Pupates in a double cocoon (one within the other) on the ground.
