Resident. Locally common, mainly found in southern England.
First recorded in 2016 at Breidden Hill in the north of Montgomeryshire.
Wingspan : M & F 7-8mm.
Many species in this group are very similar. One of the best ways of separating them is to examine the type of leaf-mine.

Wherever the foodplant is found.
Leaf miner. Eggs laid on underside of leaf. Larva forms a large gallery. Pupates in situ in a large golden, silken cocoon.
