Confusion species

Many species of Phyllonorycter are extremely similar, great care should be given when separating these species. It is often impossible to separate the adults of some species.

Lifestage data

Leaf miner. Eggs laid on leaf. Larva forms a blotch in the centre of the leaf. Pupates in a cocoon formed within the mine.
