Discovered in the east of the county at Llanmerewig Glebe Nature Reserve in 2014.

Wingspan :   M & F 14-16mm.

Other species of Caloptilia can look very similar.

Habitat

Woodland, heathland, moorland and gardens.

Foodplant

Birch.

Lifestage data

Leaf miner. Eggs on leaf. Larva forms epidermal mine developing into blotch, then in rolled leaf. Pupa green attached to leaf.
