Resident. Widely distributed throughout the British Isles.
Found in a few scattered sites throughout the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 9-12mm.

Wherever the foodplant is found.
Brome and probably other grasses.
Leaf/stem miner. Eggs laid in small batches on the foodplant. Larva first mines leaves then bores into stems. Pupates in a white cocoon spun between the leaves of the foodplant.
