Resident. Widely recorded in the British Isles, more common in the north.
This species was first recorded in 2015 at Derwenlas in the far west of the county.
Wingspan : M & F 15-22mm.
|Flight time & Voltinity
A variety of organic materials; e.g. wool, feathers and hair.
Case-bearing. Eggs laid on food. Larva forms a case only when moulting. Pupates in a tough cocoon away from the feeding site.
