Resident. Widespread but very local in Britain as far north as Lancashire.
This species was not only a new record for the county in 2010 but also for the whole of north Wales.
Wingspan : M & F, 8-9mm.
Care should be taken as there are several other similar looking species.

Wherever the foodplant is found.
Leaf miner. Eggs laid on foodplant close to ground. Larva mines a white gallery which soon forms into a blotch. This is spun internally which causes the leaf edge to curl up. Pupates in the mine.
