Resident. Locally common as far north as Fife in
Scotland.
Montgomeryshire Status
First recorded in 2013 at Middletown in the east of the county. An
uncommon species in north Wales.

Aspen.
Lifestage data
Leaf miner. Eggs laid on the petiole. Larva first mines petiole
causing it to swell, later mines leaf. In autumn the mined
portion of the leaf remains green - aka 'Green islands'.
Overwinters in cocoon as larva, pupates spring. |
