This species was first recorded in 2015 in the Hafren Forest in the south of the county.

Wingspan :   M & F 9-14mm.

Eriocrania semipurpurella.

Wherever the foodplant is found.

Foodplant

Birch.

Lifestage data

Leaf miner. Eggs laid on leaf bud. Larva forms a blotch. Pupates in the soil in a silken cocoon.		 map
