A fairly common species found mainly on the western side of the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 34-46mm.
Lempke's Gold Spot.
Mainly damp places but also found on moorland and heathland.
Sedges, yellow iris, branched bur-reed and water plantain.
Overwinters as a small larva. Larva September-May. Pupates in a in a transparent white cocoon spun in the leaves of the foodplant.
