Large Wainscot, Webb's Wainscot.

Habitat

Wet and boggy places.

Foodplant

Mainly bulrush, but also found on lesser bulrush.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as an egg. Larva April-early August, feeding at first on the upper parts of the stem and moving down it as it grows. Pupates in the foodplant or a dead stem.
