A rare species recorded only once at Foel in the north of the county in 1985.
Wingspan : M & F, 38-44mm.
Dusky Brocade, Rustic Shoulder-knot, Crescent Striped and Pale Shining Brown.
Mostly dry calcareous grassland.
Overwinters as a larva close to the ground. Larva August-April, feeding at night and hiding by day in a silken cell. Pupates underground.
