  Habitat Broadleaf woodland, downland, scrub, hedgerows, and gardens. Foodplant Poplars, aspen and occasionally willows. Lifestage data Overwinters as a pupa in a fragile cocoon beneath the bark or in a suitable crevice. Larva July-September, feeding at night. |
