  Habitat Broadleaf woodland, carr, marshes, scrub, and gardens. Foodplant The catkins of sallows and poplars and later on herbaceous plants. Lifestage data Overwinters as eggs laid in rows on twigs of foodplant. Larva late Mar-early June, feed inside catkins until they fall. Pupates underground. |
