Wingspan :  M & F, 34-44mm.

Brown-spot Pinion, Lunar Underwing, Chestnut and Flounced Chestnut.

Herbaceous plants.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as an egg. Larva Late March-June, feeding mostly at night. Pupates in a brittle cocoon underground.
