A fairly common species that is found in low numbers throughout the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 29-34mm.
Marbled, Rufous and Tawny Minors and Union Rustic.
Mainly wet and boggy places.
Willows and aspen.
Overwinters as an egg which is laid on the twigs of the foodplant. Larva April-June, feeding at first on terminal shoots and later hiding in spun leaves during the day, emerging at night to feed.
