Not too common a species, usually found as singletons, although it has been recorded throughout much of the county.

Wingspan :  M & F, 36-46mm.

Bordered Gothic and Feathered Gothic.

Habitat

Fens, marshes, riverbanks and other wet places. Also gardens and hedgerows.

Foodplant

A range of wild and cultivated herbaceous and woody plants.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as a larva. Larva July-April, feeding at night. Pupates underground.
