Habitat

Mainly broadleaved woodland, also found in hedgerows, gardens and well wooded districts.

Foodplant

A wide range of herbaceous plants.

Lifestage data

Overwinters near the ground as a small larva. Larva September-May, feeding at night. Pupates underground.
