Resident. Common S,(C)
A rare species with only four records for the county. The last one being taken at Castle Caereinion in 2006.
Wingspan : M & F, 100-120mm.
Open woodland, downland, hedgerows, gardens, fens and coastal scrub.
Wild and garden privet, ash and lilac.
Overwinters, occasionally twice, as a pupa, up to a depth of 30cm. Larva July-September.
